The late Anna Nicole Smith died today at the age of 39.
The death of Anna Nicole Smith today was shocking but not surprising. Her life was often viewed like one views a “train-wreck” and who wants their life viewed in this manner. At this point in the reportage, we don’t know what the cause of death. But the details were: Anna Nicole Smith, model and spokesperson was found in an unresponsive state in her Hard Rock Café Hotel room by a female nurse around 2:49 pm today, Thursday, February 8th. She was rushed to a Hollywood, Florida hospital where she was pronounced dead. She leaves behind a six month old daughter and a husband, attorney, Howard K. Stern.
So what makes this a news story? Anna Nicole’s on-going battle with her late husband’s estate and her battle with drugs and weight made her a target for paparazzi. Those who tuned into to her E! Entertainment network program cringed at her life while others didn’t find any of it funny. Anna Nicole was a beautiful tragic blonde in the tradition of Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield, yet she had never really achieved real stardom.
What is the lesson for young Hollywood party girls like Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Ritchie, Paris Hilton and others? That using drugs and alcohol leads to nothing but trouble. Especially in the case of Lindsay Lohan who seems hell-bent on destroying her career before she can actually achieve anything.
At the Balboa Café in San Francisco, Anna Nicole was viewed drinking more beers than most men. She reportedly gave an 11 year old boy a lap dance. She was asked to leave the restaurant afterwards. Her life was about excess and nothing good ever comes out of excess.
Always partying with nothing to celebrate is what I say about these young girls. What does Lindsay Lohan really have to party about? She doesn’t really have any real great roles under her belt and she can’t have any real reason to drink to excess. Checking in to a rehab and then leaving to go shopping means that Miss Lohan had no real desire to change her life. She’d prefer to wait until there is a serious accident and I can’t understand where is one friend who can talk some since into these young women.
There is the case of Kim Kardashian who recently sold her bedroom porno tape with Brandy’s brother, Ray J. Why? Didn’t the world learn enough about the taping of sexual activities when Pamela Anderson or Paris Hilton’s tapes were released? I would think so. Robert Kardashian’s daughter has ruined her own reputation as bloggers around the world have labeled her a whore. These girls live as if they have no thoughts of the future.
No more sex tapes please. There is the issue of The Games’ clowning of video models Melyssa Ford and others. These young women adorn thug Rappers who have little to no talent—they don’t play any instruments or write any music. The women actually make the MCs more popular by lending sexual iconic stature to the videos. Where would many of these otherwise not very attractive or intelligent young men get women? This Hip Hop zeitgeist must end. Why would Kim Kardashian even be involved with such a minor celebrity as Brandy’s brother? Hip Hop.
